Need some experienced scramblers with some advice on these lift kits with the softest ride. The '81 has the shorter lift and narrower 33's at 9.50 wide, while the '83 has 12.50 wide tires It is my opinion that the wider stock axle on the '83 combined with a 12.50 tire might rub with only the 2.5 lift Interestingly, the 12.50 wide tires look like a natural fit under the wheel wells in the narrow axle '81.
