Mother 3 is one of those games that i go back and play from time to time I've probably finished it 6+ times at this point, and watched a bunch of other people play through it It is one of my favorite games of all time (definitely in my top 5), and it's what made me fall in love with the jrpg genre to begin with. It definitely has a better story than earthbound, and i think the soundtrack is overall better (although it's not as unique as earthbound's) The setting is more standard for. Mother 3 is a bit more linear compared to its predecessors but it also just has some fantastic moments that showcase why i adore this series. I always liked earthbound for its quirky style and great sense of humor, but mother 3 completely surpasses it in both game design and with its incredible story.
