It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans. American legion post 44 is nestled in a vibrant part of phoenix, just a stone's throw away from the scenic tempe town lake It's conveniently located near the bustling mill avenue district, which is known for its eclectic shops and lively atmosphere. Post 44 serves 700 veterans and has about 1000 members including legion, auxiliary, and sons of the legion. We offer meeting/event space of approximately 3,500 square feet
When set up for a dinner event, we can seat approximately 125 depending on the table configuration We offer either buffet or sit down meals with full beverage service Our stage can accommodate a dais, or a band. Considering scottsdale’s population in 1940 was estimated at 2,500, starting a legion post was certainly a leap of faith.
