I originally signed in to gmail and google with my aol email account years ago Once i did, it was like a brand new google and gmail account, as i could access google account and preferences and settings I could log onto gmail, though it did not transfer emails i received on xxxxxxxxx@aol.com to google or the gmail app or gmail period First email was a welcome to google email from google.
I was able to add my aol account before but bc it was hacked, i had to change my password so when i went to re add my new password for aol in gmail web browser It stopped allowing me to add my aol account It allows me to currently add the account if i select gmalify, but i prefer pop3 Hi philip, aol email is based on yahoo which has recently changed to using an application specific password for outside access (pop3, imap, smtp) So generate an asp in your aol account, and use that instead of the normal password when configuring them in gmail. Then she can just navigate to mail.aol.com as usual
I am receiving spam and phishing emails and cc emails from my name@aol.com I do not have an aol account How do i stop receiving them I have tried filters but it doesn’t work. I downloaded aol app separately So now i receive aol mail on gmail app and aol app I want to unlink aol email from gmail When i check who are the recipients of the email, my own email is not visible The only recipient email visible is ak@aol.com
