They take a 25% cut Too good to be true Ownwell property tax protest services don't over pay We've used ownwell a few years now and they've saved us money each year We protested them ourselves for years but with the amount of protesters now, difficulty in scheduling, and getting comps they'll agree with this is just so much easier. I'm receiving mailers from companies like ownwell, ideal appeals,llc and property tax solutions, llc and want to know whether these companies are decent to work with
Any recommendations on who is trustworthy? I know this is an old thread, but just in case someone comes looking.it is well worth hiring a property tax protest company, they know what they are doing and get better results I've done it myself and hired it out and i will just say after living and learning there is a clear winner in terms of results. Ownwell walked me through some options and deferred maintenance and upgrades as well as storm water easement and its impact (erosion) on the property were 2 areas i focused on The wizard indicated that anything impacting house value $2,500 or less is unlikely to be considered (perhaps it was $10k or less?… something like that). Are property tax reduction services real or some sort of scam I get all sorts of mail from property tax services that will lower the property taxes with their fee being only a percentage of the reduction
