The cost of purchasing health insurance on colorado’s individual marketplace is set to double next year in the absence of enhanced federal subsidies, state insurance officials announced monday. Open health insurance enrollment on connect for health colorado, the state’s health insurance marketplace, began on saturday 15, 2026, allowing residents to shop for affordable health care options, according to a press release. Moves by two health insurance carriers to withdraw some of their plans from colorado could soon be reversed thanks to fresh state legislation that addresses some of the financial hardship faced by carriers next year, the state’s insurance commissioner said. There are six health insurance companies offering medical plans through the marketplace this year Anthem, cigna, denver health, kaiser permanente, rocky mountain health plans and select health.
