Omvoh is given once every four weeks for the first three doses as an infusion into a vein, and then once every four weeks thereafter as an injection under the skin. Omvoh is a biologic medication designed to treat ulcerative colitis by targeting inflammatory pathways It helps alleviate symptoms such as bloody diarrhea and abdominal pain by modulating immune responses, promoting mucosal healing, and reducing the need for corticosteroids. Three intravenous (iv) infusions of 300 mg are given at weeks 0, 4, and 8 as part of the induction phase of treatment for ulcerative colitis.
