I am having a hard time finding it on the odr site I wouldn't consider any other options than stocking adults or building cages and growing them out yourself Getting feed trained perch will be key to getting good growth Salmonoid doesn't have any largemouth bass It will be interesting to see how the perch do with hybrid stripers, crappie, cats, and gills. I do agree, stocking fry at abt 2% survival rate is a huge waste
I found out at the expo that the odnr is planning to start stocking blue cats in alum in 2023 What are your thoughts on this My only concern is that the blue cats will get flushed out of there like they did in dillon because they are both flood control reservoirs I also attached a photo of. I dont fish alum creek or any central ohio lakes, but they are stocking blue cats in lakes that i fish regularly & im excited about it, think its great option for people to go out & catch big fish that doesnt cost alot of money to fish for blue cats or any catfish & take there family along or small kids , catfishing has exploded in popularity. Generally coming out of an empty body of water without structure or cover (for ease of netting) versus wild. Thinking of stocking walleye and perch in a gravel pit where i work.15 acre 120ft deep and still growing from operations.u guys think walleye will reproduce?lots of sandbars but no vegetation.plenty of gills shinners to feed on.and bass if they get real hungry.
