To this day dishnet has been the only one to carry these as a superstation package just like we used to get on cband Thats how alot of people on the outside know of these channels. The definition of superstation (by the fcc) only allows all of the current stations as true superstations, wpix, wwor, wsbk, kwgn, and ktla carried by dbs nationwide. Wpix, wwor, wsbk, ktla and kwgn Wgn in chicago is not part of the superstations pack. Anybody else having trouble with ktla 5 dt on channel 31
The codes that map the hd transmission don't seem to be working on my dn 811 Channel 7 (kabc) did some weird stuff the other day but seeems normal now What is your opinions about directv people receiving the superstations (ktla, wsbk, wpix, wwor, kwgn) if the merger goes thru Will we be able to get them right after the merger is approved, or will it be later, or will they discontinue them for both services Ktla was given a free license in the transition process to digital The fcc required stations to be broadcasting in digital, and the use was for the primary video to be seen in digital
Ktla, wpix, wsbk and kwgn vanished from national cable distribution outside of a few lingering regional cable systems that are now subject to blackout For example until more local affiliates launched cable systems in the northeast continued to used wsbk and wpix as their initial source of upn and wb programming. This may be because we now get the local medford, or cw affiliate (southern oregon's the cw) on channel 11 on dish network.
