She has a background in journalism and publishing, with a degree in women's studies and journalism from cuny queens college. Within our after school and summer programming, saya provides our diverse students with allies within the school system who understand their unique experiences and challenges, and support their social, emotional, and scholastic growth. Over the course of our history, saya has broken down the “model minority” myth, and paved the way for greater attention and investments in social services for the south asian population.
