How i fixed my leaking carburetorforce outboard motor 125hp repair carburetor

Good morning all, im currently working on a 1988 force 125 outboard The carbs have been leaking fuel since the first day i purchased it So far i’ve purchased the rebuild kit and installed it (gaskets and new needle) I also adjusted the floats The carbs still leak though I cleaned the carbs and replaced the fuel hoses and filter

New gaskets on fuel pump and carbs I have the carb idle speed adjusted according to the manual When i start it it has fuel pouring out of the carbs What should i look for as far as adjustments or problems 125 force motor carburetor fuel leak and overheating issues 125 force motors often face carburetor fuel leaks and excessive white smoke during operation Fuel leaking from the carburetor side usually indicates a stuck or damaged float needle valve causing overflow

White smoke and overheating suggest a rich fuel mixture or cooling system issues.

Force outboards were also the stock engine for a while in bayliner boats Changing out the lower gear oil and replacing the water pump is part of routine outboard maintenance However, you may also have to rebuild the carburetor at some point Buy carburetor rebuild kits at marine dealerships. Usually they don't get saturated Make sure there set right

Post a few pics of the carb Clean the carbs again, check the tips of the needle and the rubber seats (if there is one) Fuel should never leak out if the carb and into the engine compartment Most engines have drains on carbs and they can leak easily If you have fuel leaking out of the carb from a point above the bowl, especially when you pump prime, you likely have a float or seat issue.
