Hebrews 9:22 says, “in fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” what does this verse tell us about jesus’ sacrifice Why does forgiveness require blood being shed at all? Secondly, “is no remission” indicates that without this bloodshed, forgiveness cannot be fully realized
This detail is vital as it leads us to acknowledge that forgiveness is not merely a feeling It embodies an act of divine grace. 22 and according to the law, i may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission. 22 as moses' teachings tell us, blood was used to cleanse almost everything, because if no blood is shed, no sins can be forgiven. And by the law almost all things are purged with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
