For garrett makosky ’26, this fall marks his third semester as a nude model in the art department He first heard about the job from a friend taking an art class who was amused by the presence of student nude models The comment, however, inspired makosky to eventually take the job during his sophomore winter study. Art models pose for study or art classes where students are learning to use the human figure as a reference point or are hired by individual artists Some art models will be clothed while other art models are asked to pose nude in their natural human state. And a friend said, “since you love being nude all the time, why don’t you just model nude for art classes?” and i thought, i could do that Wait—you worked for a nudist travel magazine?.
