I have a bunch of freechex iii tools

All of them, including 22 cal, produce checks that stay on after sizing Most can't be pulled off before sizing I have a noe copy of that mold and the checks go on properly It doesn't matter what happens to them after the bullet exits. I made a mount for each check 2x2x1&1/2 thick and machined a hole 1 deep in the center the size of the freecheck die and then a smaller hole on thru it for the check to fall thru with a little ramp made from check material angled so they fall into a bucket, then drilled and taped a set screw hole to secure the die in the mount Then on the arbor, machined a mount strap to hold the mount for.

The short freecheck on the sides works fine without any problems for what you want to do Yes, i can afford jacketed bullets.but it will be much more rewarding to do it my way.it would be nice if they could see that to.the nose to crimp is 0.46, i may shorten it slightly to allow for the marlins. Turn's out my freecheck tool is made for pop can metal and not lytho metal Cut's out the disc but when i try to form it it shear's off at the base I anneal my flashing in a toaster oven, one hour at 450.not too soft, just right.
