Can someone explain to me what does it mean when artists (particularly japanese) say Do not reupload / repost (is prohibited)? I think it would be natural sounding to use prohibited in this situation because it's a message to a large group of people If you were having a conversation with a person about your artwork and told them reposting my artwork is prohibited, it would sound a bit weird and harsh But prohibited in the situation that you're describing isn't directed at any one person in particular
